Here is Michigan Congressman John Conyers mocking his peers in Congress, who have made an unbelievable request of the Congressman.
“Read the bill!”

Michigan Representative John Conyers
He admits that Congress may only get two days to read the HealthCare bill, and even with the help of two lawyers, he wouldn’t be able to cipher what all the bill entails.
Isn’t this the perfect example of the overwhelming bureaucracy that we are dealing with in Washington? If you’re voting on something that affects millions of people and will spend trillions of dollars, shouldn’t you know what you are voting on in the bill?
One of the reasons that this bill is so bloated is the earmarks that the bills contain. A lot of these earmarks deal with building walking paths, jungle gyms and parks. You know, things we need right now as our deficits and unemployment rates are spiraling out of control.
Didn’t Obama promise to cut out earmarks and make government more transparent? If you ask me, we are heading in the exact opposite way.
Didn’t Obama also promise that all bills will be on the internet for five days for public review before there is a vote? Here’s a compromise, why not let Congress have five days to review a bill before they vote on it?
What’s worse, this moron gets up in front of a microphone and not only belittles the people who want him to actually read a bill, but then basically says, “They’re idiots, and I have no intention of reading any bill that I’ll vote on in Congress.”
Here is Congressman Conyers mocking everyone that ever voted for him.
